Let's bak-je this

The bak-je logo deliberately references YouTube's iconic red and white design—and there's a practical reason for this. Every piece of content we bak-je (curate) comes from YouTube, so the visual connection helps users immediately understand what we do. The white brackets [ ] are what make it distinctly ours. In video editing, brackets appear around selected clips on your timeline - they show exactly which moments you've chosen to focus on. In bak-je, they represent that same act of selection, capturing specific moments from longer videos. It's a visual metaphor for the act of curation.

We're not trying to replace YouTube—we need YouTube to exist. The similar aesthetic acknowledges this dependency. We're essentially a curation layer on top of YouTube's content ecosystem, like a specialized lens for viewing YouTube content. Users see red + play button and think "video content." They see brackets and understand "edited/curated selections." Together, it communicates exactly what we offer: curated video content.

This logo represents what we are: a curation tool for YouTube. We exist because YouTube creators make amazing content, and the bak-je logo design makes this relationship clear. It's functional design communication, not just aesthetics.
